Kalihi’s journey into jewellery making began with a heartfelt connection to her roots. Born and raised in Hawaii, she was surrounded by the rich cultural traditions and the vibrant craft fairs of the islands. During a visit back home a few years ago, a stunning pair of seed bead earrings in a friend's shop sparked a wave of nostalgia.
