MEET KALIHI
Kalihi’s journey into jewellery making began with a heartfelt connection to her roots. Born and raised in Hawaii, she was surrounded by the rich cultural traditions and the vibrant craft fairs of the islands. During a visit back home a few years ago, a stunning pair of seed bead earrings in a friend's shop sparked a wave of nostalgia. The earrings brought back memories of attending local markets as a child, where she watched her friend’s mother craft and sell intricate seed bead jewellery.
Inspired by these memories, Kalihi purchased the earrings and brought them back with her to England. What started as a treasured keepsake soon blossomed into a new creative passion. Kalihi began teaching herself how to make her own seed bead earrings, starting by creating unique pieces for family members and friends. The joy she found in crafting led her to local Christmas markets and a nearby shop, where her earrings quickly became a favourite.
Today, Kalihi is thrilled to share her handcrafted creations with you through her own online store.
